Ali and Ricardo play in the sand |
Today we got an early start as my Dad had to catch the taxi by 7:00. We were sad to see him go. Since we were up and the weather was sunny, we headed to the beach so we could get some time in before the rains moved in. We spent almost four hours at the beach. Ricardo played for hours in the sand and he also spent some time in the water. He had been frightened of the waves but today after watching Ali he decided that he would give it a try.
There was some action on the beach today. There were people fishing, walking into the surf with fishing line and catching some small fish. There was a big tanker sitting out front which eventually moved closer to Tela. And there were people moving sand with a horse and cart.
The afternoon was spent at the pool. Ricardo is starting to put this face in the water and will paddle if I hold him up. The weather was beautiful all day until a thunder storm rolled in at eight in the evening.
As for news of a date, as expected, we heard nothing until we called the lawyer at 5:00. Thanks to our lawyer spending the week talking to everyone, the Director now knows of our situation and has said he will sign early next week. The other Canadian family are heading to Tegucigalpa on Saturday as they have been in this hotel almost three weeks. Five kids in one room. They really need a change. I will be going on Sunday. Even though we don't have an exact date, my agency says it is a good idea to be in the Capital so we are ready to sign at a moments notice. We will enjoy the last few days at the beach.
