Day 11 and 12

Walking to town
It has been a relaxing couple of days here in Tela.  Yesterday we woke up to light rain so we took our time over breakfast and relaxed.  Around ten we headed out for a walk since the rain had stopped.  We decided to walk down the beach towards town.  It was cloudy which kept the temperatures cool.  We walked to the Telemar Resort to see what it was like.  We walked around the grounds and checked out the pools.  They had a great pool for kids and it had a resort atmosphere to the place.  We then continued on the road to town.  We found a better part of town today and even found a nice bakery where we stopped for snacks. We finished at the crazy grocery store which was even crazier because it was Saturday. We took a taxi back to the hotel.   It total we walked for 3 hours and the kids hardly complained which is a big step for Ali.  I can't believe how good it felt to walk somewhere.  To be free and just walk where ever you want.  That is one big plus of Tela over SPS.  It is safer here so you don't have to be trapped in a hotel or taxi.

Garbage on the beach

When we got back Ali hit the pool while Ricardo found a friend in the son of the hotel owner.  The two boys played cars in a sandy area on the property.

My lawyer Marta dropped in the see myself and the other family.  Since it is a long weekend here, she was in Tela with her family and took the opportunity to see how we are doing and to let us know first hand where things are at.  We are expecting to hear some news regarding the signing of the adoption decree this week.  So I am keeping my fingers crossed that we get some news by Wednesday.

Today was a lazy day.  The morning was spent at the beach.  We had a good time swimming and playing in the sand until a large about of debris of sticks and garbage washed up on shore.  We could see a line of stuff heading to shore and pulled the kids out before it hit.  It started raining shorty after so we headed in for the afternoon.  The rooms in this hotel are large which is great when you have two kids and no where to go.  They coloured, played games and watched tv and the afternoon went quickly.
